Worship at Ettrick & Yarrow Churches

We are a friendly ‘local’ Church family which is firmly rooted in our rural communities. 

Our Services comprise a range of modern and traditional hymns, bible readings and teaching of the Word of God. We celebrate Holy Communion together every two to three months.

We always enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits (or if we’re lucky, some home baking) before (Kirkhope and Yarrow) or after (Ettrick) each service which gives us a chance to meet any visitors and catch up with each other.

As well as the usual Christian Church highlights throughout the year such as Harvest and Easter, we also hold other notable services. 

• We continue to hold the historic ‘Blanket Preaching’ open air service on the hillside overlooking St Mary's Loch in the Yarrow Valley. 
• At Christmas we have a traditional candle-lit family ‘Christingle Service’ in Kirkhope Church which is especially floodlit and filled with candles for the occasion.
